Cardbus1_TI_7412_v2.0.0.9_Vistax32×64_XPx32×64.zip package from download.cnet.com
it worked for me.

timo606: it is an ata drive. They are becoming a little harder to find now days-I got it at newegg.

Darnit: I suppose I should update this to indicate it works on 7 as well. I have put 7 on my new laptop but not on that one (I did have the beta on it a long while back).

what hard drive was it cause i cant find a 7200 drive for the zd8205us. and what kind of interface does it have? sata? ata-6.

Installed the said driver on ZD8181ea and it works fine. Ater installation of the drivers, the device manager recognises the device as ‘Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia Controller’. Device tested with 1GB SD card (IMPACT brand) - works fine without any issues.

I don’t use Memory Sticks so not sure. It does work with SD cards though.

Hi Duane,

I own a HP PAVILION ZD 8200 CTO, and I upgraded to Vista Ultimate. Everything was fine, but the media card reader wasn’t working. I followed every step you described, and it appearently worked just fine, as shown by the device manager. But when I pop in a Memory Stick Pro Duo 1GB (using an adaptor), nothing happens.

Any help will be really appreciated!
